I'm so sad to announce the passing today of classmate John Hill from a courageous battle with cancer. John married Dickie Coombs sister Ruth and they resided in Coolidge.
We were informed of his passing by his son JB.
This is the tribute JB put on Facebook today about his father:
It is with a heavy heart that I share that my father has passed away and joined the Lord. As this is a sad day, it is also a glorious day to remember a life lived well. During this process I have been humbled more than once. Watching him battle with courage, grace and a strong Christian disposition has been a lesson I will learn from. Thank you will never be enough for all those that graced us with visits, calls, texts, help and most importantly prayer. I have learned that while we may be born into one family, marry into another family there is none that is as important as your family in Christ. Being saved and knowing what awaits us as Christians eases my mind and heals my heart. The love shown me and my family during this time will be life changing. Thank you Dad and I love you!!
