2 Patricia (Pat or Patsy) Ann Marsh (Drugmand) passed away on April 4, 2015 with her family by her side at the Dobson Home (Hospice of the Valley, Chandler AZ) after a brief battle with a vicious cancer. She was the first of three children of Joseph and Margaret Drugmand, born on Flag Day, June 14, 1945 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Peoria, IL. Early education was at St. Cecelia's School and Richwoods High School. She moved with her family to Mesa AZ in 1961 and resided in the Phoenix area thereafter. Pat graduated from Mesa High School in 1963 and Arizona State University (ASU) in 1967 (BS in Education). In 1969 she married Lonnie R. Chase and they had one child in 1971. A second marriage was to Paul C. Marsh in 1999. She is survived by daughter Stephanie Susanne (Chase) Gofas (Chandler AZ), two grandchildren Alexander Cull and Chase Gofas, sister Susan Cox (Sierra Vista AZ), brother Joseph Drugmand (Omaha NE), and husband Paul (Chandler AZ). Pat started work at Western Electric Corp and later moved to ASU where she held numerous professional positions of increasing responsibility and ended her 32-year formal career as Manager of Surplus Property and Recycling. Pat was a long-time member of the American Business Women's Association and was named Valley of the Sun Chapter Woman of The Year in 1983 and 1990. Among numerous other accolades was selection in 2010 by the Arizona Recycling Coalition for their Lifetime Achievement Award. After retirement she owned a successful Conference & Event Planning company, worked part-time for her husband, and managed rental property they owned. She enjoyed gardening both flowers and vegetables, reading, and frequent travel in the US, Canada, Europe, or Mexico. Pat loved to cook and experiment with food, and often recreated especially tasty restaurant dishes without a recipe. Pat was a generous and loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend who enriched the lives of many, and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers the family recommends donations to Hospice of Valley. There will be no service but a celebration of Pat's life is anticipated later this year.

5 Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

I am a semi-retired public health physician, formerly married, father of four sons, three of whom are married, one with four young children and one with a toddler.  I have practiced in the U.S., rural Malawi, (high point of my career), Edmonton, Toronto, and Ottawa at all levels of public health dealing with communicable disease, (especially tuberculosis), and environmental health, primarily.  My “loves” include jogging, cycling, swimming, ice skating, snow shoeing, trains (especially steam!), cherries, peanut butter, a good mystery, travel, teaching medical students and a variety of volunteer activities.
