RUSSELL ANTKOWIAK

Deceased:
We were informed by Gerald Wolf that classmate RUSSELL ANTKOWIAK passed away Friday Aug. 26th 2022. They remained life long friends having grown up together. After High School Russell served with the Army in Vietnam. He then came back to Tempe where he had his Pillow Shop. He made all sizes of the best bean bag chairs. He also was an expert in hydroponics before anyone even knew how to grow that way. You might say Russell was an inventor of many things some that never got completed but he was always thinking of the next big project. He made the best roasted green chili\'s. Russell never married and spent the last few years in a VA home. Before he went to the VA facility Russell and whatever dog he had at the time would swim Canyon Lake almost every Sunday. I believe up until the last couple of years Russell was still driving the old van he bought from Harold Bloomer with the words Pillow Shop on the side of it. Everyone knew that Van. This gentle classmate and friend lived life his way and was always happy to sit and chat with you anytime. |

DARLENE JANET ASHLIN (SCHOSTAG)

Deceased:
Tribute from her husband Bill: Darlene Ashlin. My wife, My life. Passed away, Wednesday morning April 15th, 2020. Darlene and I were married May 16th, 1964. We had 56 years together, as husband and wife, best friends, and partners in everything we did. Mostly what we did, was ministry, in various capacities for over 40 years, but most of that was Childrens Ministry. Darlene was totally committed to ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children, teaching them that they can have a relationship with God. For a little lady, she sure left a big footprint. For many of us, life on this earth, will never be the same . |
