JOESPHINE (JODY) JENSEN
1945-04-14 2004-04-22Dear Class of '63 Jody Hood Jensen died 22 April 2004. In all likelihood the simple cause of her death was scientists tinkering with ozone depleting chemicals (ODCs). The disease she was diagnosed with was Nephrogenic Fibrosing Dermopothy (NFD )which was changed to NFDINSD (adding Systemic to the acronym because it paralyzes body organs as well) partly because of an autopsy performed on her last year. This disease had not been seen before 1996 and the trigger has not yet been identified. The vast majority of changes made in the fabrication of medicines and construction and repair of hospitals in the past ten years have been replacements of old ODC chemicals. Jody enjoyed life thoroughly up until the day she died. She is well known as a researcher and historian not only from the many articles she had published as a writer and editor of the Tremonton Leader but also from her co-workers in the Space Shuttle where she approved "Build Logs" for NASA. She left behind three daughters a son, husband, two nephews and over a dozen grandchildren all trying to live up to her expectations. Sincerely, Michael Jensen
