STEVEN CHURCHILL REID, 70, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on January 27, 2016. Steve was born on March 3, 1945 to Ervin and Mary Reid in Topeka, Kansas. Steve spent his first eleven years in Kansas and moved with his family as a young boy to Arizona in 1956. He graduated from Mesa High School and was recruited to attend the prep school at the United States Air Force academy for basketball. After an injury his freshman year he transferred to the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona from where he graduated. His business career was defined by being a restaurant entrepreneur with several business partners and spent many years building and opening restaurants in Arizona, Illinois, and Florida. Some of those establishments included Top Shelf, Cork & Clever, Figg Tree, Crystal Pistol, and Churchills. He also held a real estate license and after thirty years of working in these markets he retired. In retirement he chose to work part-time with Home Depot and then retired again to help others. Steve is survived by his sister, Kay Tennison; two nephews and their family; William E. Tennison and Bradley J. Tennison. A "Celebration of Life" service is scheduled for Friday, February 5, 2016 at 5:00pm at Fellowship Square
