Thanks for keeping me posted on the Class Reunion. Unfortunately, Harry and I won't be able to leave Canada sooner than the end of October, so won't be able to attend the reunion. Hopefully, we shall still be alive and kicking for the 50th or whenever you have another one. It has been nice to know there has been interest in getting together. Diane Mary Karkosky, 65, passed away in Stevenson,WA. October 13, 2010. She was born Mary Diane Woods on May 30th 1945 in Mesa,AZ. Diane met her husband, Dave, in 1963 Gila Bend, AZ. while working in a small diner when she was 18. They wed a few months later and thus began a fun and exciting life of love and travel, making their way across the country many times over and making moves to Florida, Texas, California, Indiana and then to Stevenson, WA. in 2002. Diane was a loving and caring wife and mother who always had a smile ready to share with friends, strangers and loved ones. She had a wonderful laugh and a tenderness that will be sorely missed. She loved playing games, fishing, hunting and just sitting with Dave, her husband. She loved listening to wind chimes and enjoying where ever she was at the moment.Diane along with her husband Dave and son, Bryan opened "Gorge-Us Dreams" antiques and art gallery in downtown Stevenson in 2005. A lifelong artist, Diane would routinely have her husband pull over on the side of the road in different states and start oil painting the scenery. Diane also enjoyed meeting and painting with fellow artists from the Columbia Gorge area. She is survived by her husband Dave and her two sons David and Bryan. Diane also has two granddaughters Catherine, age 6 and Madisyn, age 15 months. Also, survived by her brother Mike A memorial service was held at the First Baptist Church in Stevenson,WA. on Saturday November 13, at 11:00 AM. Mike Woods |
