JANE RASMUSSEN (JOHNSON)

Deceased: Jane Johnson Rasmussen, 77, was born November 23, 1944 to Richard G. and Nadeen LeSueur Johnson at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a 4th generation Mesan for 77 years and was always proud of her Johnson/LeSueur ancestry. Education was very important to Jane. She graduated from Mesa High School in 1963, received her BAE from ASU, and her Masters Degree at U of A. Jane was blessed with six decades of love with John William Rasmussen, also an Arizona native. They married in 1965 and the Rasmussen adventures began! Jane treasured her calling as the mother of their four children: Erik, Kristen (Scott Dawson), Richard (Chrissy) and Kent (Becky). She was a wonderful loving Mom and their home was the ultimate gathering place with lots of fun activities and the good food Jane made. STEVEN CHURCHILL REID

Deceased: STEVEN CHURCHILL REID, 70, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on January 27, 2016. Steve was born on March 3, 1945 to Ervin and Mary Reid in Topeka, Kansas. Steve spent his first eleven years in Kansas and moved with his family as a young boy to Arizona in 1956. He graduated from Mesa High School and was recruited to attend the prep school at the United States Air Force academy for basketball. After an injury his freshman year he transferred to the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona from where he graduated. His business career was defined by being a restaurant entrepreneur with several business partners and spent many years building and opening restaurants in Arizona, Illinois, and Florida. Some of those establishments included Top Shelf, Cork & Clever, Figg Tree, Crystal Pistol, and Churchills. He also held a real estate license and after thirty years of working in these markets he retired. In retirement he chose to work part-time with Home Depot and then retired again to help others. Steve is survived by his sister, Kay Tennison; two nephews and their family; William E. Tennison and Bradley J. Tennison. A "Celebration of Life" service is scheduled for Friday, February 5, 2016 at 5:00pm at Fellowship Square

Deceased: RECEIVED A WONDERFUL NOTE FROM MATTHEW INFORMING US OF HIS MOTHER'S DEATH OF JAN. 4TH 2000. JUDY ANN DIED OF CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE ARISING FROM COMPLICATIONS DUE TO DIABETES. SHE WAS SURVIVED BY HUSBAND JORGE REN (WHO HAS SINCE PASSED AWAY) TWO SONS, MATTHEW PHILIP, OLAF JOSE AND ONE GRANDCHILD BIANCA JUDITH.

HE SAID JUDY ANN ALWAYS SPOKE FONDLY OF HER TIME AT MESA HIGH AND IS SURE SHE WOULD BE HAPPY TO KNOW THAT SHE IS STILL REMEMBERED.
